About Us

Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) Annual State Attorneys' Training Programme is a platform that brings together State Attorneys from MDAs and LGAs with a view of building their capacity in handling cases. The programme is organized yearly by the Office of the Solicitor General with an objective of providing a forum for Lawyers and Legal stakeholders to share their views, experience and expertise in legal aspects. For the year 2023 the training will be conducted from 5^th to 8^th June, 2023 at the Jakaya Kikwete Convention Center in Dodoma City and will be preceded by the 5 years Anniversary of the Office of the Solicitor General. The OSG was established by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, under the powers vested in him by Article 36(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, 1977. The Office of the Solicitor-General (Establishment) Order (GN. No. 50/2018) which established the OSG was gazette in the Gazette of the United Republic of Tanzania No. 3 Vol. 99 dated 13th February 2018.
